What level is this new round starting at? I have some jorbs I'd like to level, and it's either static or PuG

it all depends on the job build-out. typically we get rolling in our set jobs between 30-45. there are usually a few mini-statics made for low levels for people to get the desired jobs all at roughly the same starting point.

its really all dependent on what jobs people want to do and what level they are at, and its been different every static, more or less. usually by 40-50 everything is in place.

Yea, next static interest. But I don't have near the interest in Maat's Cap that a few of you do. blm/rng/mnk/(lolpld) are the ones I've got an itch for.

Howdy, given I have the time I'd like to level jorbs that I can leech off you guys and not have that hard a time looking for pickups with the others. However, I talked to Fishy about some stuffs and the levels that we matched up (my levels) were,

I would really like to leech blm and smn off you dudes, as pickup wise I see them being the biggest problem for me... maybe drk. However, whatever works is best.

The way I see it, we exp randomly as it is right now. Our schedules just don't match up. However from what I've gathered we could (after the current static of course) get things going.

The above shows pretty much: every pt with refresh, every pt with a main healer and tank. I just went down the list of tank jobs and matched everyone else up according to what jobs they need/are interested in levelling. I took the liberty of adding in jobs for Mara (do what I say bitch) and bard for Quetre, Aydann.

Damage dealing jobs are who cares in my mind, everyone wants to level them so it really doesn't matter other than: Ruo, Fishy and perhaps Tim should be in every pt to further advance their jobs towards cap. If not... then this is all just masturbation.

if i may take a brief moment. i happened to be on Aim with this pleasent chap during the quoted activities. he did in fact create a slightly fictional (barely) resume, masquerading as a british bloke, and it was in fact mailed to several comapanies in Iowa and I can only assume several of the other mid-western states.

while I do feel a sense of pride and respect at having been included in what will most likely become several hearings on interstate fraud, i find comfort in the fact that my Aim name is in no way connected to my birth name, nor any identities contained within, et all, etc, etc.

that being said, i find myself several scotch whiskeys under at the moment. Ruo, my moose-fucking buddy, your chart looked pretty cool. it has columns and names and shit. i will revisit it when I am slightly more sober.

Sorry for not seeing this earlier, but yeah I'd definitly be down for a good static.

I'm most interested in leveling Drg, which is currently 37. But honestly I'd be willing to gear up and go with any of my 36-37s which include Thf, War, Smn, Blm, and whm. Though if at all possible I'd rather not do whm :)

Current leveling: BLU (BLU gets a kind of glossy, be whatever based on spell set, but for these purposes, I claim it a DD)

I don't see any tanks jobs listed for Marathon. I'm assuming it's under the maple syrup smudge. I can't think of any job that I wouldn't be happy to level with you guys because I truly like having people gayer than me all around me. I would like to say though, that it has always been my intention to have a character that could fill any roll if the situation needed it. So, whether soon or in the distant future, one of my goals is to have a tank class leveled.

And where's mah Dancer jerb!

I would really, really rather not do BRD, as I've sunk so much gil in spells already, and I've just come off leveling RDM...but, yeah. Anyway, I'm interested, and theoretically could do most any job except the ones I've already leveled.

I took that into consideration Mel when I added you as Bard. For that party setup, you would need... 12 spells? Costing you roughly... 100k total?

In the end though, a static doesn't roll if it doesn't have three things:

1. Tank
2. Healer
3. Refresh/Dispel/Support

I tried to include those for each setup there. The list is not set in stone however, and in all likeliness, it will be awhile before the next static is started anyway.

DV I forgot to add you yes, all you have left is DD. Go away (kidding).

The DD's are fill-in spots, as long as you have the required 3 things, then the rest is gravy.

Some pt setups will work without dispel and limited refresh. IE, pt's with thf/rng can stick to crawlers and crabs cause acid bolts will dispel def. boosts. If you have pld's then you can get away with limited refresh but it will be tight still.

I tried to work around what everyone has levelled and what everyone needed, Mara I didn't put you as a tank job because the one thing that the group is lacking is support jobs and you have the most available. Gaf and Ama showed no interest in support jobs, I have an opinion on that but I will keep it to myself.

nice to see a lot of interest. exping, when done right, is, in my opinion, barring further uses of commas, one of the few grinds in this game that can still be fun. especially when drunken team-speakery is involved.

considering the people in our current static run, Mel is usually one of the six, and I feel she should get bagsies on the sixth spot next time if she wants in.

with so many jobs to be leveled among everyone, there can prolly be multiple statics going no doubt. most people are already leveling something else in pick-ups.

that being said, we're still probably 2-3 months away from finishing our current run, judging on the last few weeks, lol. so who knows where everyone will be at then.

minor point, but this is america, so fuck you. rng yes, thf no. too hard to reliably hit VTs and higher with bolts on thf, and it doesn't always proc even when it does hit. i tried it for like 70 levels, even wearing racc gear (at the loss of dd gear) and it just wasn't worth it. just like this post. i'll probably just hit back instead of hitting submit.

My desire to play FFXI for past few months has been nil. However, my desire to hang out with people I <3 and finally after five years be in a static is pretty massive.

I never planned on getting a job to 75, and I still never plan on having a zillion jobs there ever. I would like to have a little bit a variety in what I can bring to end game stuff and pondering the job list DNC is fun, and healing without being mage like and backline. And I've never seriously played a DD job... ever (PLD, BST and WAR back when it was a tank job ... woot.) and would adore having one to bring to events. I love the hell out of RNG, and have had about 400k worth of RNG gear on a mule for years. Of course, this was 400k years ago and equals about 50k now. But damnit I bought that Noct +1 and I want to milk it for all it's worth. Shooting crap is FUN.

I also don't have any mage jobs leveled. WHM is my highest at 19, my BLM is 13. BRD is 4, and RDM is my death warping job. I don't even have COR or SCH unlocked :/ It would be a massive undertaking, for this girl who's never liked the grind, to get any of the mage/support jobs to 37ish (not to mention it would be two or three times over, counting subjobs) and I've no real desire to use them in end game but if it's the only thing that would get me a static with my friends finally, I'd do it.

I concider this static my last hurrah for XI, and so based my offers of jobs on the limited things I have leveled and my desire to bring them to sky/dyna/salvage/whateverassrapeage. Just wanted to clearify my job choices.
