Anyone happen to have all the registry files for FFXI and Playonline viewer?
I just realized that I have left my installation cd and information in Calgary so it will be a little difficult to install a new version on my new computer (which I don't have now anyway).
I do however have my harddrive that has all the files and whatnot and can load them from an external usb drive. Just having problems booting to the device right now because of the shitty Intel BIOS not allowing boot priority to USB. If I can make the current version of windows aware of my external installation however I might be in business to get on once in awhile.
I tried some searching online but nothing, if anyone knows the registry files well enough then lemme know pls pls pls.
i might be able to do something like this for you, i have to go dig up a registry snapshot maker thingy and uninstall ffxi and reinstall on my laptop. hopefully when you uninstall it removes the applicable registry entries.
otherwise i can host images of the cd files if you want, infact i have that vanadiel collection. i'll see about figuring out a way to host it, when do you need it?
usually when you uninstall it just changes some aspects of the registry files and doesn't remove them completely, so unless you have a clean computer to work off of it's a long way around.
I suppose I could work off of the images, however I don't have the registration code so it wouldn't really be possible to get install I don't think. Unless you remember when it asks for the registration code (not the content ID).
I have that as well then. Hook me up wif dos files big boy. I'll love you long time. I'm going out tonight so I won't be able to get them, then I have a pool party tomorrow but can be off/on in downloading them if your host is time specific.
i'll have to find a way to do it here at work, i don't think you need anything but the actual files on the cd, i'll try to play around with it. If i can get it to work, i'll have to setup some kind of webserver thingy for you to grab them. i'll talk to tim about it tonight, he's way better at this kind of shit than me. i'll post here once we figure it out.
i might be able to host the files here at work, i have to come in anyway tomorrow morning to let in one of the mechanics, so i'd be able to maybe zip the lot and throw up some shitty nonsecured web or ftp crap for you.
ooo ftp, i used to know how to do something like that.
