Generous Mr. Fishy cross posted to the LB Forum, so it is with mild trepidation that I wander outside the Shogun forum. (I always read, just don't dare post :P). I am very interested in an O Hat and would love to come on stomping runs for both items and for the simple chance to get to know more of you outside the tight constraints of Dynamis. At just barely into 66, and being a guest of the your shell, I have no qualms about waiting until everyone else has their items before getting any for myself.

I wander through here often and I'll keep my eyes open for events. Thanks!

I'm glad Fishy cross-posted to LB. My offer was meant to be extended both to Exile and Shogun members, and I'm usually pretty happy to help anyone out with anything (I spent 6 hours one recent Saturday helping get Genkai 1 items for someone shouting in Jeuno...not going to do that again for a long time lol).

Feel free to ask for help on the "lol HALP IS" forum if there are events you need a few extra bodies for, or jobs that you don't have, or just some extra company, and we'll make it happen.

For those who don't know, 5 different hakutaku eyes (plus a fiend blood & light crystal) are needed to synth a hakutaku eye cluster. The five eyes are:

Burning Hakutaku Eye (from King Ranperre's Tomb)
Damp Hakutaku Eye (from Ifrit's Cauldron)
Earthen Hakutaku Eye (from Sea Serpent Grotto)
Golden Hakutaku Eye (from Sea Serpent Grotto)
Wooden Hakutaku Eye (from Den of Rancor)

The monsters dropping the Earthen eyes are the weakest, those dropping the Wooden eyes are the strongest. A balanced group can fight the monsters to get all the eyes.

Once we get an idea of which jobs are coming, I can round up help from Exile to balance out the group, if needed. Additionally, if the group is large, we might be better off dividing forces and farming in a couple areas...and, as always, Treasure Hunter is welcome :)

As for a time on Monday, how does 7:30 sound? I'm thinking we'll either start in Sea Serpent Grotto or King Ranperre's Tomb, any preferences?

Seran, a long-time Exile, is 95+1 alchemy and rising, and has offered to craft the Hakutaku Eye Cluster free-of-charge for LB members. However, he cautions that the Hakutaku Eye Cluster synth is a level 90 Alchemy synth, and there is an inherent risk of failing the synth. As he is offering to craft the synth free-of-charge, he is unable to reimburse in case of a failed synth. Seran has succeeded at 2 out of 2 attempts thus far to synth the Cluster.

In the event of a failed synth, I am more than happy to assist in farming the eyes again.

I can be ready to go at 7:30. Let me know where you want to start and I'll be there.

My first thought is to bring THF for extra TH power (THF is at 65). If you'd prefer RNG or DRG let me know. I don't really have a strong preference for what job I bring in.

7:30 May or may not be early for me depending on the evenings plans and the mood of the Unsympathetic to video gaming wife and her Aggro level. I'll try to get into the zone "Yard" and kill as many Chores as I can to Lower Wife hate this weekend. Hopefully that will reset my Wife hate and I can walk freely with no aggro. We'll see.

If not, I'll look you up as soon as I get online. I'm assuming you have the WHM covered, but I'll ask anyway. 66 DRK or 64 WHM? Preference? And -how- easy is it with a small party? Is skill up viable? Or is this more of an actual XP Mob Range fight?

Edit: THF is at 40 so I can sub for an additional TH1 if you wish.

Not really contributing anything to this post other than to gloat about how awesome I am and that bard is the most powerful job in the game and I am the best at it cause I'm Canadian and sexy with the small shirts and the pigme-french and the drinking of the strong beers. Seems most of the female and good looking have been taken. If I'm sending three, it seems all I have left in my stock is 1. Sex ambiguous 2. Male 437 pounds 3. Female with a goatee. I will come as whm, unless, for some reason, we end up with an overabundance of them. I think we'll do King Ranperre's Tomb Monday night. I think the monsters are in the skill up range, but to be honest, I really don't know...I didn't start collecting eyes until I was level 75, and I think they monsters were Easy Prey to Decent Challenge (maybe some Even Match) at that time. Sorry I can't give you more definitive information. According to Somepage, the hecteyes in KRT are level 60-62.

The KRT eyes are super easy. I solo'd them as 75 brd/bst by charming a bat and using it to kill 2 eyes in the area. Took only a couple of kills.

As far as the hookers are concerned your stock is horrible. I suggest filing them under a loss and dumping them in the closest available ocean with some extra spice for the fishes.

I did clear wife hate this weekend, but ignoring my family for a 7:30 Dynamis start on Sunday piled it all back on. Since I work all day, I have no time to farm chores to reset it again. Sorry to hear you won't make it. Would you like me to hold an eye for you if we get enough? They are rare, but not exclusive, and therefore can be traded, but I understand if you would prefer to farm all the eyes yourself. :)

If there is somehow an extra, that would be great. However, there is no need to stick around for another one once everyone present has gotten theirs. Farming is farming. There's no real sense of accomplishment in it for me, so I don't take great personal offense at not doing it myself. However, it will be a debt owed and at 66, I'm not sure how I could ever benefit you or repay you, but I would insist that somehow I am able to return the favor at some point.

As a side note. . .run on sentences iz fun!

Congratulations to everyone who got a burning hakutaku eye tonight..and thanks to Fishy and Tim who came out just for fun :) We will be farming eyes in Sea Serpent Grotto next, once I have a day/time, I'll post it.
